About Dreamchaser Ranch
Dream Chaser Ranch was established in 2003 in Anola, Manitoba. After careful consideration, our paint stallion Smokes Remedy was purchased from Dave and Vicki Murrow in Blue Mound, Kansas to become Dream Chaser Ranch's primary stallion.
Smokes Remedy aka Ace is a 2002 Bay Tovero Paint stallion with an amazing pedigree, correct conformation and the most gorgeous color! His sire, dam and siblings all very accomplished working horses with many awards in roping, cowhorse, barrel racing and reining.
His sire Smokes Dude was an APHA World Champion Cowhorse but even more impressive a Supreme Reined Cowhorse (competing against Quarter Horses and Paints). When AQHA changed its color rules Smokes Dude actually qualified for the AQHA World Show in Cowhorse at the age of 17.
Ace's dam Destined To Power was a weanling futurity champion and then went on to have a great career as a roping horse achieving her ROM's in Heading and Heeling. She also placed 5th and 6th at the APHA World Show in those same events out of 39 and 40 horses.
Ace started his own career in the cowhorse and reining world and collected APHA points in multiple events. It was during the fall of his 4 year old year that I decided it was time to make him into a barrel horse as that was the sport I enjoyed the most. It didn't take long to teach him patterns and for him to really take a shine to speed events. He has accomplished alot on the last few years and has been the kind of stallion you can always be proud of.
